Chapter 3: The Girls
Mike turned the boat around heading the opposite way of the tourists. Mike was the paranoid one of the group. He was worried the guy would want his money back. Finally, Dave asked Mike, “Where are you going?”
“I’m going down to see Debbie.”
Dave whispered to Mike, “You think he’s ready for that? He went nuts over the dollar the guy gave us. I don’t think he can handle Debbie.”
Mike turned to Dave with a smile and slowly nodded yes. The boys went towards the Arneson river theater. After you pass under the bridge by the theater there is nothing. No restaurants, no shops, no tourists, no sidewalks, but there are hookers. The river has grass and bushes on each side after the bridge. About fifty yards past the theater there’s a large clump of bushes. As they approach a black woman steps out from behind the clump of bushes with a big smile, “Mike, Dave, where have y’all been? I been needing some Lovin.”
The black woman, Debbie, is about twenty five years old and not wearing much of anything. She has an attractive face and a body young men desire. She had the large chest, tiny waste, and a large round ass.
The boat approached the shore. Dave and Mike had a big smile on their faces, but Joe was scared. Mike yelled to Debbie, “What the hell are y’all doing?”
Mike looked at Joe and said, “Just hang loose here a few minutes and we’ll explain. Everything is fine.”
Both Mike and Dave walked towards the bushes. As they did an Anglo girl comes out of the bushes. Her name is Missy. Her face has heavy makeup, so she looks good. She has long blonde hair and is shorter than Debbie. Missy has a smaller chest and wider hips than Debbie, but she could still catch a young boy’s eye.
Missy gets a big smile on her face, “Mike, Dave, I’ve missed you! Where have you been!”
The two girls and two boys walked back into the bushes with their arms around each other. Joe was sitting in the boat all bug eyed. This seems like something you can get in big trouble for. He thought about taking the boat by himself and heading back, but he didn’t want to leave his buddies. He was panicky. They had been back in the bushes a while. He thought, ‘What if they didn’t come back at all.’ He looked once again at the bushes, and they were shaking. Then there was moaning and pain. He wondered, ‘What are those girls doing to my friends!’ Joe then heard the loud victory zu zu zuaaaaaa. Joe got out of the boat after what felt like an eternity and walked towards the bushes. As he did, they all came out of the bushes smiling and talking. Joe was upset, “Where were you!”
Dave immediately walked up to Joe, “Just relax. It’s your turn.”
Joe stopped, “No, no, I’m not going in there.”
Dave whispered, “It’ll be fine. We do this all the time. Okay look, just walk back there with Debbie and talk for a few minutes and you’ll feel so much better.”
Joe stood there not knowing what to do. Debbie and Missy had been filled in on the situation and knew how to treat him with extra care.
Debbie walked up to Joe, “Let’s just go over and talk for a few minutes.”
Joe and Debbie walked into the bushes. When they did Joe stood there not knowing what to do. Debbie was compassionate and got in close, “Are you afraid?”
Joe stood there and nodded his head up and down quickly. She reached out and put her hands on his shoulders, “The only thing that’s going to happen here is you’re going to feel amazing. Now, take your hand and put it right here.” She moved his hand to her breast. She pulled his head into her chest. Joe was both scared and thrilled.
He stood there as she moved her hands down his shoulders onto his stomach. He was frozen, she controlled him. She moved her hands to the waist band of his jeans. She gently unbuttoned and unzipped them. If it was possible, Joe froze even more. She pulled the jeans down and he was completely exposed. He was staring straight ahead and didn’t look down. As Debbie dropped to her knees she asked, “Have you ever been with a woman before?” Joe had his eyes closed as he shook his head no.
Dave, Mike, and Missy were standing by the boat as the bushes began to shake. There was moaning and then it was done. Everyone knew what happened as Joe and Debbie emerged from the bushes. Joe had a shocked look on his face and was not steady as he walked. They walked towards the boat and she whispered in his ear, “Next time it’ll be even better.”
Joe was still trying to gain strength in his knees while walking to the boat. Before he got on the boat Debbie grabbed him and gave him a big kiss. He just stared into her eyes while trying to steady himself. He had never felt like that before. What was happening. Joe floated onto the boat as Mike and Dave had big smiles on their faces. The girls waved bye as the boys headed back to turn the boat in. Joe was now sitting there trying to paddle. He asked the guys, “What was that? Where did you find them?”
Dave answered, “They take care of us. When we walk around the downtown area and there are Air Force guys walking around from the bases in town. There are four air bases and one army base in town. Lackland Air Force Base is where all the new air force guys come through. Downtown is full of military guys. We tell them where to go for fun. The girls take care of us because we send them business.”
Joe was still in shock, “What do you mean business?”
Dave explained it, “They’re hookers, they charge five dollars to take a guy back in those bushes and do what they did to us. They make good money, and they will do anything we want to keep that money coming in. Did you like what she did?”
Joe was still struggling from his weakened state. It was hard to paddle, “Yeah, I’ve never done anything like that before.”
Dave continued, “We go up to the street and talk to guys in Air Force uniforms. We tell them where Debbie, Missy, and Gloria are. You didn’t see Gloria today, but you will. We’ll show you in a minute how we do it. Isn’t downtown fun!”
The boys paddled towards Javier’s dock. The river was crowded, and Joe maneuvered through the maze of boats. Dave took over because all the boats seemed to be coming at them from the opposite direction. Mike didn’t care about the other boats. He was looking at a young girl on the sidewalk with her parents. Dave noticed a paddle boat coming straight at them. He hesitated a second to see what would happen. Mike stood up and stepped on the pontoon to yell at the girl. At the exact moment Mike stood up Dave decided to turn left to avoid the oncoming boat. Dave turned hard and Mike fell over the side into the river. Mike’s face was priceless as he went in the water. His mouth and eyes were wide open with astonishment. He let out a little high pitched screech as he hit the water. He popped right up and stood there staring at us, disgusted. Everyone on the river immediately noticed as tourists gathered to see what was going on. Mike slowly walked back to the boat. He climbed back onboard, and the boys were sympathetic for a minute but then busted out laughing. Mike sat there beaten down, “Real funny guys. Now I’m wet until I get home.”
Dave said, “I’m sorry man. I had to turn to miss the boat.” Mike wasn’t satisfied, “Y’all have to pay the paddleboat for the next two weeks.”
They both nodded yes to paying for the boat as Dave turned to Joe, “This happens every once in a while. We’ve fallen in the river several times each. Your time will come. You might want to invest in a waterproof wallet.”
The boys checked the boat back in four minutes early to Javier’s amazement. As they checked in Javier just stood there shaking his head at Mike, “Go for a dip there did ya Mike?”
Mike stared at Javier still soaking wet, “Yeah, and I think it’s because of your cheap boats. I should sue you.”
Javier started laughing, “You do that, and I’ll have to raise my prices. Besides it’s not the boats it’s the drivers.”
Everyone was laughing except Mike. The boys left Javiers and went up to street level. They walked to the Alamo and then to the corner of Alamo St. and Houston St. At that spot everything came together. No matter what site you were seeing in San Antonio you crossed Alamo and Houston streets. The boys got to their spot and there were servicemen everywhere. Mike held to the back because he was still wet. Dave immediately walked up to a group of four airmen, “You guys want to have some fun?”
One of the airmen said, “Beat it kid, unless you know where the women are.”
With Mike and Joe listening closely, Dave said, “Yeah, I can tell you where some gorgeous women are, and they’ll do anything you want.”
The guy asked where and Dave gave him directions. This happened several more times with four or five guys in each group heading that way. After a while Dave says, “Hey, follow me. We’ll check out how the girls are doing.”
The boys went down to the river and walked around to the Arneson River Theater. They stopped at the top of the bridge and observed the line from the bushes almost back to the bridge. The girls are raking it in. Dave turned to Joe, “That’s, why they love us.”
It was getting late, and the boys went to the bus stop to go back home. Mike was hoping for an old bus. In his current situation an air conditioned bus would probably mean a very cold ride home. The boys got a new bus. Dave and Joe were happy, but Mike sat by the window and opened it to let in some warm air. The boys arrived at their stop and overall, it was a good trip downtown.
